    Highlight based on multiple columns

    Hello,

I am trying to highlight rows if two conditions are met:

    1. Column C contains a duplicated cell
    2. In those rows where a duplicated cell exists, column D contains its own duplicated cells.

Hard to put into words, but easy to show (spreadsheet attached).

Thank you for taking a look,

Re: Highlight based on multiple columns

    Hi RookA1,

    How about this

    Conditional Formatting
    • Highlight applicable range >> =$A$2:$D$15
    • Home Tab >> Styles >> Conditional Formatting
    • New Rule >> Use a formula to determine which cells to format
    • Edit the Rule Description: Format values where this formula is true: =COUNTIFS($C$2:$C15,$C2,$D$2:$D15,$D2)>1
    • Format… [Number, Font, Border, Fill]
    • OK >> OK
    HTH
    Regards, Jeff

Success on both solutions! Thank you for the help on this. The sample I provided was small, but the real sheet is thousands of rows. You two are big time-savers.
