Maximizing across multiple cells with conditions

Hello,

On the attached file - there are 6 items for sale.

B2:E4 represents what four people are willing to pay for 1, 2 and 3 items each.

I am trying to calculate the outcome that maximizes total sales. Outcome can sell less than 6 but not more. In this example the answer would be 210 (i.e. 2 items to A, B and C at price of 70)

I am looking for a formula that would do this easily. Thank you.

I don't think this is going to be solvable with formulae, certainly not easily - it's a complex "what if" scenario with lots of permutations. VBA might be more feasible here. Have you looked at Goalseek or Solver at all?

Based on my experience of these forums, it might be a while before you get help with this, as it's quite niche, but hang on in there.
