Function to copy from Excel-2010 paste into another application

Hi Experts,

Wondering if any function is possible to copy content of A1 cell ( Excel-2010) and paste in to another open- application and enter and return backs to Excel cell A2

I am doing repetitive task that goes in 1000s rows.

Open application is web based api1.samplecompany.com format

May be Macro possible, I have very limited knowledge,

In my own experience, for automating copy and paste operations between multiple applications, you'd be much better off using something like AutoIt or AutoHotkey instead of VBA.

Also, more important than the web site is the browser you'd be using. Which browser?
