Calculating amount per bed in bands with max amount

Hi,

I'm new enough to the world of Excel. I was wondering if anyone could help with a formula that could calculate the following (I have tried with the help of Google, but have not been successful):

€200 per bed 0-40 beds
€100 per bed 41-80 beds
€50 per bed 81-200 beds (highest amount of beds is 184)

Max amount €75,000

If anyone could please help, it be monumentally appreciated.

Hi bigbread and welcome to the forum,

I believe your problem is a VLookup() with a TRUE argument at the end. Look for that in your search and watch some YouTube vids. If you need more personal help we need a sample workbook attached that we can work with. See how to attach in the yellow area at the top of most screens on this site.

Thank you for your reply. I have attached a sample workbook, with 9 examples. If you could put me on the right path to be able to apply this on a much larger scale, it would be so helpful.
