    Comparing Different Sheets for Average

Hello guys, I hope someone may be able to help out. I need to get the average of multiple sheets. I will be adding sheets daily to add to the average. I have 6 Sheets now. The first sheet is named Summary and is where the formula will go. The sheets after are named by date so I have 08012020, 08022020 ,08032020, 08042020, 08052020. I only need to do 1 cell on each in the formula so I will need an average of A2 for every sheet. I will do the same formula for A3, A4 so on and ...... If someone can point me in the correct direction I would appreciate it. Thank you..

Re: Comparing Different Sheets for Average

Why not all data in 1 worksheet and after that e.g. a pivot table to analyse the data?
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.

Re: Comparing Different Sheets for Average

the workbook will have a hundred sheets. I need the averages of Sheet 1 A2, Sheet 2, A2, Sheet 3 A2, etc etc, and the same for Sheet 1 B2, Sheet 2 B2. Each row of each sheet has data that is not relevant to the above and below rows.

Re: Comparing Different Sheets for Average

Lets just pretend for a moment I only have 2 rows of data. First row is a header lets call it Numbers. The second row has a number let's say 100. Then the second sheet has the same thing onlu the number is 80, then the 3rd sheet has 23. What is the formula to get the average of those 3 numbers from the 3 different sheets?

Re: Comparing Different Sheets for Average

You need a so called 3D reference. Like this (assuming each of your sheets has the value to be averaged in cell A2):
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Result is 66.67
