Hi,
I have created a calculator now to count between dates to determine gaps in years and total years worked. my only issue is If I don't fill out every field my sum is showing as a - value, how can I make it so that however many dates I fill in it only calculates based on that.
Affected formulas are Total Days (E31)
Breaks in Days (E32)

So difficult to understand what you want. Please add some data and the result you want.
Not sure what are you doing, but you appear to count days manually. Try another solution automatically to see if it solves:
Working Days
Change "Y" to "N" to get Breaks in Days

sum the 2 cells to get Total Days.

Sorry added some data to the upload, Essentially Im adding to those marked Y years worked the N picks up the date between the last finish date and next start date to work out how many days break in dates.
I then total both to work out how many years months and days they worked (minus the breaks)
So currently I have to fill in every Y cell to get a result want it so that regardless of how many cells I populate it works
