Copy and Paste without changing cell references?

    Hello
Just a quick question please for Excel 2010...

I have a large area of cells (350x3) containing formulas that I would like to duplicate in another part of the sheet, using copy and paste, but without changing the cell references.

One answer would be to change all the references to absolute values ($).

Or I could copy the cells to Notepad and then copy them back to Excel as text.

Is there another way to achieve this please?

I am surprised there doesn't seem to be an option in 'paste special' to turn off reference updates on paste...

    Thanks for your advice
    Robin

Find/Replace all = (equal signs) to some special sign like ¬, copy paste (these formulas are not effectively text), then find/replace back.

    Thanks for your reply.
This wouldn't work, because after I have duplicated the cells I plan to alter their formulas with find & replace to pull in (link) data from a remote sheet. They will not be a simple copy of the original cells.

    Thanks Robin
