How do I copy a formula without changing cell references?

I want to copy =d8*k10 into several cells, but the references keep changing. I've tried several things that I've found on the internet, but nothing seems to work and the I can't seem to copy to a columnof cells.

    Help!

    Hi
Double Click the cell that contains the formula. And copy the formula itself. Not the cell. Also you can copy the formula from formula bar too. Then paste it wherever you want.,

Re: How do I copy a formula without changing cell references?

You literally want the 'exact' same formula in multiple other cells (without changing the cell references at all) ?
Doing this creates extra unnecessary work for Excel.

If you're copying that formula to say 10 other cells, then Excel has to do the exact same math calculation 11 times
Once in the original cell, and ten more times in the other cells.

You would be better off just putting a reference to the original cell in the other 10 cells.

Say A1 for example contains the original formula
    =d8*k10

And you want that to be duplicated into say M1 through M10
    In M1, put
    =$A$1
And fill/copy it down to M10

Now Excel only has to do the original calcualtion once (in A1)
the other 10 cells just pull the result from the original cell.
