    Question Formula simplification help needed

    Hello,

I need some help in simplifying 3 formulas. Here they are:

[I had to delete the formulas from the body of this post as I was receiving an "Access Denied - Sucuri Website Firewall" warning after submitting the post. Formulas can be found in the excel workbook attached, cell D24, F36 and I36]

All these nested IF, AND, OR are driving me crazy. In principle they work as they should yet I can't help to think that there must be a way to simplify them.

I am attaching the worksheet where these 3 formulas are set into context (cell D24, F36 and I36).

    Any help would be appreciated.

Can I just check the basic calculation.

Are the tank dimensions given the exterior measurements? If so the internal measurement would be 2 cm less for the length and width, and 1 cm less for the depth of water. In that case the volume would be 88 x 43 x 44 = 166.5 litres vs the 172.4 you show.

    Please clarify

    Re: Formula simplification help needed

I am not convinced the formula is correct as the thickness of the glass is at both sides
    =IF(D12="","",ROUNDUP(MAX(0,D11-$D$12/10)*MAX(0,D10-$D$12/10)*MAX(0,D9-$D$12/10)/1000,1))

but to account for glass thinkness at both ends

    but should be =IF(D12="","",ROUNDUP(MAX(0,D11-$D$12/10)*MAX(0,D10-$D$12*2/10)*MAX(0,D9-$D$12*2/10)/1000,1))

You are absolutely right. Clearly overlooked that.

Indeed. I did not account for thickness of both sides. Lame from me.
Thank you for the revised formula.

Any possible simplification can be brought to cell F36 and I36 ?
