Excel exercise from a previous competency test

    Hi All,

With the pandemic, I am trying to learn the basics of excel - formulas, data analysis using various tables etc.
First, is/are there any resources I can use to self teach along with exercises to put the knowledge into practice? And

I am trying to go back to some IT competency based exercises from job interviews last year, and came across the one below - I tried to do this using vlookup but get stuck as to how to go about doing this. Task requirements and data are within the excel document - info is not sensitive data.

I will be posting this on MrExcel also:

Any help or direction as to go about doing this would be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Jay

    Hi
I have tried to link the other forum, but it doesn't allow me to post on here, I keep getting an error message at the top.
    Thanks

What is the difference between the Absent and Present. When calculating attendance should we only consider Present?

Also, are you familiar with Power Query/Get and Transform. This is a function of Excel that for a file of the size you are showing would expedite your process. Look at the link in my signature to understand it better if you are not familiar.
