    Lightbulb Remove certain days from a list, including holidays and other specific days.

    Ok I have a column that contains a list of Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays which are Study days in the college.

    I need to remove all the holidays from this list, including Saturdays and Sundays if a holiday falls on a Monday.

    I'm trying to find a formula that removes or omit those holidays from the list.


    Anyone can help please?

    Welcome to the forum.

    A formula cannot remove items from a list. Perhaps explain in a little more detail what you want the formula to do.

    Thanks for your reply, yes I understand that formulas cannot do that :D

    Ok I have attached the excel sheet, I'm not an excel pro, I'm just trying to get it work.

    So in this sheet I have in Column B, a list of Holidays, in Column C it adds Sundays whenever there is a Holiday on a Monday.

    the column D shows Saturdays whenever there is a holiday on a Monday in Column B.

    In column E it shows Tuesdays whenever there is a holiday on a Monday in Column B.

    Then in column F they are combined in one column but with empty cells and in column G they are merged in one column without empty cells.


    All I am searching for is to get a one column with Holidays in Column B+Tuesdays+Saturdays+Sundays whenever there is a holiday on a Monday in Column B, without empty cells

    and without all this mess :D

    Not sure what the ultimate goal is here (i.e. the purpose of the holiday list), but what do you expect A to look like if B has the extra dates in it? How is this going to be used? Are you aware of the WORKDAY.INTL and NETWORKDAYS.INTL functions?
