I have the period in Col Q on workbook "Use Vlookup with Match for period.xlsx"
I have tried to set up a Vlookup and match formula to look up the value on workbook "tb test.xlsx" based on the in Col Q , but i get incorrect values

The value in Q1 does not exist in TB Test, row 1....

IF it existed... and the formula was modified to:
=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(A1,'[TB Test.xlsx]Sheet1'!$A:$E,MATCH($Q$1,'[TB Test.xlsx]Sheet1'!$A$1:$E$1,0)),"")
it works perfectly.

Take a look now. I got messed up as i had several copies open at once. Basically you forgot FALSE in the VLOOKUP to specify an exact match.
