Amortisation schedule with varying periods and varying interest rates

Hi Guys,

Been really struggling with this one. I have attached a sample spreadsheet.

Basically, I want a first period that is a fraction of a year, following periods to be full years and last period again, a fraction of a year.

Then, I want, variable interest rates for each period.

I have tried using the financial formula, but without success (but maybe I dont quite know the right formula!). The table must fully amortise to zero in the last perio

Would appreciate any help.

The interest rates and opening balance are given as is the periods. I want to calculate the interest, principal and payment for each period.

Anyone got any good ideas?

Hi there, I have updated the file with a normal amortization table (which I think I have got wrong anyway) and then a second table (shaded in green) where I want to amortise the table with the periods and interest rates as indicated.
