Index and Approximate Match to Multiple Columns

Hello all, I'm struggling with a formula and would greatly appreciate any help!

See attached example spreadsheet. I need a formula that would search columns a b and c, find the closest match, and return the corresponding Salt Out result. I hope I explained that correctly.

I've been exploring the index and match formulas, but have been unable to make it work.

Hi JC,

Here is a second possible answer using a helper column and then Index Match formula. Closest is always a little fluffy but I used the ABS() of the differences for that.

You all are incredibly smart! It amazes me that I can post on this forum and get responses from all over the world! How cool is that!

Ok, I tested all 4 solutions on my much larger spreadsheet:

Estevaoba's worked a majority of the time, but would sometimes display a #Calc! or a spill over of multiple results.

Bebo's worked perfectly

MarvinP's worked a majority of the time, but would sometimes display a #N/A
