    Calculation days

    Good morning
I would need to calculate how many days there are 2 dates in mm / dd / yyyy format
    example
    01/30/2020 06/30/2020
    = 152 days
in the format dd / mm / yyyy I just need to make the difference between the 2 cells containing the date
    Thank you

    Just subract the twp cells

    =B1-A1 both contain dates

Dates are just held as a number in EXcel

    Re: Calculation days

Just subtract the earlier date from the later date:

    =B1-A1

    Re: Calculation days

yes I know with Italian date format just do B1-A1
but with American format it doesn't work
I put 'superscript' in front of the date so as not to change
opening the file with other languages.

    Re: Calculation days

If you have to work with US dates, maybe change your PC's locale to US.

Either work fully US with US dates, or work European and change the dates to suit. Don't try to use a mixed economy - it will be fraught with issues.

    Re: Calculation days

I work with European dates, it was only for some files with American format date.
I thought there was some simpler formula to convert the dara
    Thanks anyway

    Re: Calculation days

It isn't simple. Excel will just get confused. Consider:

    US 12/1/2020
    Europe 01/12/2020

In your European locale, Excel will see 12/1/2020 as 12/01/2020, not 01/12/2020.

    Re: Calculation days

Right but forgot to mention that they are imported data and when copying them it puts them in the General Supply (as American format date setting) as A1 and B1 attached file.
I will do 2 columns of conversion and then the subtraction
