How to combine a sum of a range with countif of the same range?

I am creating a time and attendance spreadsheet for work. I need to log the hours of each person they work, how many days holiday they have taken including half days. When they take half day they still work 4 hours so I need to log 0.5 as a half day holiday taken as well as 4 hours worked.

B17:B21 is the formula to calculate hours worked from the range of E3:NE3
C3:C7 is the formula to calculate how many days taken from the range of E3:NE3 (H = 1, HD = 0.5)

I need B17:B21 to calculate HD = 4 as well as the sum of all hours worked from the range of E3:NE3.

=sum($e3:$ne3)+countif($e3:$ne3,"hd")*4
