looking to import data if equal to valve and then skip line if not

    Hi

I am looking to import data from a list if the name matches in one column, import the number in next column. But if the name is not the same then to skip to next row. I dont want to have any blank rows. Currently I have used vlookup which will do it but transfers a false if there is no match

    =VLOOKUP("FOS",'import line 1 wk10-19'!A3:B3,2,FALSE)

do i need to use =if first
