How to get different kind of data in the workbook on excel?

So, my workbook nmaed LOGS contains Calculation IDs associated with each Username. This is basically the id for each calculation each user has done per week in a specific month and year.

But the problem is, there is no list of users who have not done any calculation in a specific week, month, and year.

For your reference,
Abis has 2 calculations in week 1, month 1 and year 2019. So active
But XYZ has not done any calculation in week 1, month 1 and year 2019. So inactive.

But in my logs list only Abis name has appeared. What formula can I write to be able to have both active and inactive users in one workbook?

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook. The workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools

Re: How to get different kind of data in the workbook on excel?

Thank you for the suggestion. I have attached the document.

In the attached document, it is clear that,
- ABC is active in month 1.
- LMN is rarely active in month 2.
- XYZ is active in month 3.

But it is also clear that,
- LMN and XYZ are inactive in month 1.
- ABC and XYZ are inactive in month 2.
- ABC and LMN are inactive in month 3.

Now I need a formula to represent the names that are inactive in each month.

Or represent which months are inactive for each name.

Please help me!! Thank you excel forum fam!

What is the expected outcome? I think you can achieve the result with a pivot table.

Re: How to get different kind of data in the workbook on excel?

Thanks for replying Vraag!!

The outcome I need is to represent the inactive users in each month. So as you can see from my sample, few users are inactive in each month (meaning they have no calculation id). Hence I need to represent these inactive users.

Could you please let me know how I can do this with pivot table?
Attachment 736423

You can see in the attached pivot table image, I have only two X axis categories, Active and Rarely active, but I need another category Inactive.

Please let me know how I can do this!!
Thank you.
