Thanks for taking a look and sorry if I dont explain this very well.
Basically Im trying to do something and wondering what the best way is
So I have attached screenshots of two very basic spreadsheets that I can use to describe my problem.
What I want to do is in the first spreadsheet I want a formula that if the vehicle reg is found in the second spreadsheet I would like it to copy over the figures into the relevent columns (the columns are different in each spreadsheet though, the column headings I mean), there will be a lot more data added at a later date so is there a way I can automate this and say something like....
If the car reg is found then copy this figure from sheet2 say in column B1 to this column say B1 in sheet1.
Sheet 1 will also have the vehicle reg of every car sold on it and I just want it to auto generate any figures if the reg is found in sheet 2.
Sorry for the ramble if that didnt make sense.
Or is there a better way to do this?
