Lookup Formula...I think

I have a spreadsheet setup as a table, I need a formula that will lookup what name is in column f and compare that to a value "pass" or "fail" in column e and then output the total number of entries that meet the criteria. See below:

Perhaps this is what you are looking for:

=COUNTIFS($B$1:$B$7,"Campbell",A1:A7,"Fail")
