Total Split Amount Based on Split Group

Hello,

Is there a way to calculate the Total Split amounts and to group Split transactions? Then enter each split amount to have the running total for that group until it matches the receipt amount?

This is hard to explain but hope it is possible. I put comments on the Transactions sheet to show an example.

I don't fully understand but SUMIF(S) is an option.

Not completely sure what you are doing here, but if you want to sum "Walmart" amounts, try using SUMIF()

This is just a feature to have so that the individual amounts add up to the full receipt amount for the splits to help avoid mistakes for the split amounts.

I can get the total of all Splits but not sure how to just get the local group.

=SUMIF(F:F,"Split",J:J)

I revised the columns to hopefully clarify.

On row 34 is the before entered transaction.

Rows 38 to 40 shows the split into 3 categories. Column I needs formulas to add up the split amounts for that group which can be determined if they have the same Account, same Date, and same Payee. In the example I highlighted cell I38 which should have the running total of that split transaction group.

Is it possible to have formulas in column I that will put the running amount in the first line of the split group (which is the sum from column L) ?
