    COUNTIFS formula question

    Hello again,

    =COUNTIFS($A$1:$ZZ$1,">="&DATE(2021,7,1),$A$1:$ZZ$1,"<="&DATE(2021,7,31),$A$7:$ZZ$7,"*Physically*")

    I was able to get help with this formula earlier that works great, much appriciated. I'd like to add a 3rd argument to this that I thought would work with something like this

    =COUNTIFS($A$1:$ZZ$1,">="&DATE(2021,7,1),$A$1:$ZZ$1,"<="&DATE(2021,7,31),$A$7:$ZZ$7,"*Physically*",$A$5:$ZZ$5,"PCB")

    Would anyone have a recommendations for a 3rd argument that would accomplish this? Thanks in advance for any help with this one! Jack

    There's nothing wrong with that formula, can you supply a sample workbook which shows the problem.

    Re: COUNTIFS formula question

    Hi Fluff13, I'd like to but not sure how. The result in the cell indicates the "#value" response

    I modified the range of the 3rd argument but still same result. Any ideas?

    =COUNTIFS($A$1:$ZZ$1,">="&DATE(2021,7,1),$A$1:$ZZ$1,"<="&DATE(2021,7,31),$A$7:$ZZ$7,"*bent lead*",$A$5:$AZ$5,"PCB")

    Re: COUNTIFS formula question

    The size of the ranges must be the same, so it need to be $A$5:$ZZ$5

    To upload a file see the yellow banner at the top of the site marked "HOW TO ATTACH YOUR SAMPLE WORKBOOK:"

    Re: COUNTIFS formula question

    A "#VALUE" indicates a problem with the data: hence the need for a sample workbook showing the error.

    Re: COUNTIFS formula question

    Thanks for that.
    If you change it back to ZZ5 as I said, then the formula works.
    The ranges in the xxifs functions must all be the same size.

    Re: COUNTIFS formula question

    A "#VALUE" indicates a problem with the data:
    Not necessarily, you will get that if the ranges are different sizes.
