Sum acciidents that happen less than 1 year of experience and up to 21-45

I am trying to sum the number of accidents that happen with less than one year of experience up to 21-45 years of experience. The data is captured in a decimal year example 0.02 years. My experience range is as follows:
    <1
    1-5
    6-10
    11-20
    21-45

My problem is that I cannot figure out how to write a formula to SUM the number of accidents based upon the ranges listed above. How do I tack this problem.

    Sincerely,
    Don

Probably split the ranges into two columns and use COUNTIFS.

Try this for less than one year : =SUMIF(A4:A10,"<=0.11",B4:B10)

One year or more : =SUMIF(A4:A10,">=0.12",B4:B10)
