Lightbulb (Offset function)? counting % increase/decrease day by day

    Hello!
Hi. I have a problem that cannot be sustained. Well, I have a formula for DoD%. The result is a percentage increase in value between Day 5 oct and 4 oct which is E4 / D4-1. If I enter a value in cell F4 (for October 6), I would like to make the formula automatically calculate the increase between October 6 and October 5. So that 04 oct was no longer taken into account. So I don't want change formula when I type in value for the next day because my formula should count % increase/decrease between 2 last typed values.. Is it possible to handle it in some clever way? Because honestly, my ideas are over. I tried to do many variations of offset functions but it always fails. I will be very grateful for any help.

will values always be in the cells next to each other

A sample would get you the best answer

    =LOOKUP(2,1/(e4:j4<>""),e4:j4)/LOOKUP(2,1/(e4:j4<>""),d4:i4)-1

if they are consecutive, you may have to change , for ; depending on your locale

    Welcome to the forum.

There is no Excel 2020 - do you have Excel 2019 or MS365? Please update your forum profile.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.
