Find and extract

I am trying to create a formula to find a string inside a longer string in a cell. The string I want is formatted with a "R" (capital) followed by 7 numbers. I want to extract that R and 7 numbers and place in an adjacent column. Example: Voice##of##the##Customer####Client##Success##Management_R1237147#JuneauAK. I am a newbie so forgive me if the answer is obvious.

You show the example with an underscore immediately before the R - is this always the case?

It would help if you attached a sample Excel workbook, so we can see more examples which show the typical variations in your data. The yellow banner at the top of the screen explains how to do this (do not try to use the Paperclip icon, as it doesn't work).

There is an underscore before the R and I don't see it elsewhere in the string.
