Value of every nth row in a column

Been trying to use OFFSET to create a simple copy-down column of numbers which reflects the value of every nth row in another column. For some reason I haven't figured it out. Well, I guess the reason is that I'm getting senile!

I've attached a worksheet showing some data in column A and then the desired results in column C.

    Thanks!

You can do it this way in C2:

    =INDEX(A:A,(ROWS($1:1)-1)*16+25)

OFFSET is a volatile function, so it may start to slow the sheet down if over-used. Copy the formula down as required.

    Hope this helps.

    Please try

    =INDEX(A25:A999,SEQUENCE(5,,,16))

    or
    =INDEX(A2:A999,SEQUENCE(5,,24,16))
