Combined date not formatting correctly

    Combined date not formatting correctly

    I have two dates that are created with the today formula. I want to combine those dates into one cell to show a date range. The problem is when I combine the two cells the formatting gets messed up and only shows the numeric representation of the date. how can I get it to show the date as 1/03/2022 instead of 44564?
