    Counting Question

    Good afternoon,

I have a question regarding my latest report. How would I go about counting the number of items in a site for example and have it result in another column? I can count the amount of times 118 for example shows up; however, counting the number of items in each 118 has me confused at this moment. Thank you!

    Re: Counting Question

i'm sorry but i dont understand what you want from the spreadsheet - can you explain a little more please, maybe with the results expected and why ?

do you want to know howm many times 118 appears in column B for example
    =COUNTIF($B$2:$B$11,F1)
then how many times 137, 141

OR sum up the numbers in column A where it has 118 in column B ???

Power Query is a free AddIn for Excel 2010 and 2013, and is built-in functionality from Excel 2016 onwards (where it is referred to as "Get & Transform Data").

It is a powerful yet simple way of getting, changing and using data from a broad variety of sources, creating steps which may be easily repeated and refreshed. I strongly recommend learning how to use Power Query - it's among the most powerful functionalities of Excel.

    Re: Counting Question

I would like to know the sum of 118s numbers. For example, 1+2+3+1, and show its results where 118 total is. Thanks!
