Tracking Attendance Using Dates, Names, and Checkboxes/TRUEs

Hi there! I'm trying to track attendance at my classes. I use the same google form for signups that I close and open each week. My goal is to be able to have a count of the number of times a student signs up (with their name & email) AND attends the class (indicated by a checked box or TRUE value).

As a bonus (but not required) I'd like to know which dates my students attended class.

I have attached a sample spreadsheet to this post.

I'd highlighted in yellow the cells I'm trying to fill.

Hmm... that doesn't seem to give me what I want. I'm looking to get a count of the number of times each person has attended (and dropped). If correct, cell D2 would return a value of 3, Cell D3 would return a value of 2, and cell D4 would return a value of 1.
