    Unsure why we are getting #Value! - formula works in some instances but not in others

    Keep getting this error message #Value!. Was working before and cell above has the same formula and works fine.

    In O9 copied down:

    =SUM(L9:N9)

    SUM will ignore empty cells.

    Click in cell M12 and clear the contents. It has a space character in it.

    @Ali: the OP is not summing three cells; N9 is subtracted.

    Doing what, what way. The formula Ali provided is not appropriate.

    Well, as I said, I was in a rush to get out of the door. Snooping around in to personal properties in a workbook is not something I tend to do unless I have good reason to!!!
