deleting data from cells once its merged in separate cell
hello ,
So , the task is to merge data that includes both text and numbers in one cell . now once i do it using the & function , i m required to delete the data from other cells . for example - if the data from A16 and B16 is merged in C16 , then the data in A16 and B16 needs to go , but when i do that , obviously there is nothing left in c16 as well . how can restore c16 ?

If that takes care of your original question, please select Thread Tools from the menu link above and mark this thread as SOLVED.
You need to copy and paste as VALUES the cells containing the concatenated string before deleting the source cells. It can't be done with a formula - is VBA a possibility?
