Create a deferred revenue waterfall based on start and end date and daily rate per month

    Hello all,

I am trying to create your basic revenue waterfall based on start and end dates. I want to be more precise with a daily rate rather than take the amount and divide by the number of months.

I am having problems where I can correctly calculate the amounts by month with a partial starting or ending month (for example Jan 15th instead of Jan 1st).

    Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum.

Are you REALLY using a 22-year-old version of Excel???

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, worked examples where required, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.
