Cannot return header based on specific value due to duplicate value

    =IFERROR(INDEX('E2'!$D$2:$D$37,SUMPRODUCT(('E2'!GH2:GH37=LARGE('E2'!GH2:GH37,3))*(ROW('E2'!GH2:GH37)-ROW('E2'!GH2)+1))),"")

    D2:D37 - Index Names
    I2:I37 - Values

My goal is to get the index names based on the specific value in that row, but there are duplicate values, causing the formula to skip the duplicates.

    Ex:
    D11 Index, I11Value = 8
    D16 Index, I16 Value = 8

    Cell is returning D26 Index Name w/ I26 Value = 0

Re: Cannot return header based on specific value due to duplicate value

    Welcome to the forum.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, worked examples where required, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

    Administrative Note:

Members will tailor the solutions they offer to the version (NOT a release number like 2022) of Office (Excel, NOT Windows) that you have. Please check that your forum profile is up-to-date in this respect. If you aren't sure, in Excel go to File | Account and report what it says below the MS logo at the top of that page. If your version is for Mac, please also state this. Thanks.

Re: Cannot return header based on specific value due to duplicate value

Post #1 was a bit lacking in detail; however, I am guessing that the expected value for cell CR6 on the Top3 E2 sheet is A10.
If that is the case try the following:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
