    Question Nesting two statements

    Hi everyone,

I was trying to make a task a little easier by using conditional formatting. I've been trying for a while not but haven't had much luck.

How would I check and highlight Cell 2A if J2 is older than today, as well as check that U2 is blank (Ignoring formulas in the cell) inside of conditional formatting?

    Thank you in advance.

    conditional formatting rule for A2:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

The J2>0 is to ignore when J2 is blank.

This rule can be applied to any number of rows as long as the first row is row 2.

    Hi 6String,

Thanks for your help. Could you assist me with one last part. At the moment the conditional formatting counts the sum forumla in the U column even though the accounting total is blank. I was trying to only highlight cell A if U has no sum and the date has passed.

I'm not following you. What is the formula in column U? Is the result blank--or zero? Not sure what you mean by "accounting total". If you are using Accounting as the format, a zero will be displayed as "-".

This is only a guess but maybe you need

    Formula: copy to clipboard

It's working thank you, I don't know why but it was very difficult, and reacting differently each time I put it on the copy of the spreadsheet. I appreciate your help and sorry for the delayed response.
