    blanks in data validation (Drop down list)

    How can remove the blanks in data validation (Drop down list)? I have this error appeared as in the attached inage.

    Put your FILTER in, say, cell Z1. Then you can use =Z1# in your Data Validation list. The filtered output could be hidden or on another sheet.

    create a helper like in the sample file:
    =FILTER(A1:A12,A1:A12<>"")

    date validation:
    =E1#
