Im sorry i just realised, that i did in fact explain it the wrong way.

The idea is to add data (the different start / end dates) to this sheet and know how many days someone was on an assignment in which month.

Each row is a business trip to a customer, and the days, that this business trip takes are in the blue collumn.

But I have no way of knowing how many of those days were in for example January, considering all employees.

I would like to have a system where i can put in those 4 dates per row and get an impression which months were the ones that had the most days with an assignment in it.
And because some assignments are from May till July it is a little hard for me to calculate it...


did i explain myself a little better? Sorry i find it hard to put it in words...

I just uploaded an updated version of the work sheet.

It can be done like this:

Add a row at the beginning and put the first day of the month above the months.
In T4, create a table containing the National Holidays.

Try the following formula in G4 and copy to right and bottom:
