Needing help to tweak my formula

I wrote a formula which calculates rates in 15 minute increments of time (rounds up every minute over 15 minutes). The rates are $450 for 1st hour, and $50 added for each !5 minute above that time. Overtime pay of $25 for each additional 15 minutes kicks in over 8 hours.

However, now I want the first hour to be broken down to $360 for first 30 minutes, $405 for up to 45 minutes. How do I do this?

My example file is attached. Notice the red numbers which need to be changed to values in the column to the right.

    Thanks for your help!

    Administrative Note:

    Welcome to the forum.

Is you forum profile showing the version of Excel that you need this to work for?

Members will tailor the solutions they offer to the version of Office (Excel, NOT Windows) that you have. Please check that your forum profile is up-to-date in this respect. If you aren't sure, in Excel go to File | Account and report what it says below the MS logo at the top of that page. If your version is for Mac, please also state this.

The three most recent versions of Excel are Excel 2019, Excel 2021 and MS365 - if you are using MS365, please give this name along with the release number in your profile (e.g. MS365 Version 2211). This is in the About Excel section further down the Account page.

    Thanks.

Re: Needing help to tweak my formula

Like I put in my profile, I am working on a Mac and that is MS Word for Mac, version 16.66.1

However, I admit that the version numbering is confusing on the Mac. Version 16.66 is also part of Office Home & Business 2021 package.

    Hope that clarifies it.

    YES! That worked perfectly!

I didn't know you could write the logic as a series of If statements all in a row like that.

Angry Re: Needing help to tweak my formula

Actually, the formula was not exactly what I wanted. Needed to round to $360 for first 30 minutes, then $405 for next 15 minutes, and then $450 at 1 hour.

So I was able to modify the formula to do what I wanted, but I cannot post it because this forum has rules to not allow any links, etc. until I post for a few times.

    But thank you again.

Unfortunately, I do no know how to mark as solved.

Re: Needing help to tweak my formula

You do not need links to post a formula - try again!

If that takes care of your original question, please choose Thread Tools from the menu link above and mark this thread as SOLVED.

Also, if you have not already done so, you may not be aware that you can thank those who have helped you by clicking the small star icon (* Add Reputation) located in the lower left corner of the post in which the help was given. By doing so you can add to the reputation(s) of all those who offered help.

"You do not need links to post a formula - try again!"

Right now it say "You are not allowed to post any kinds of links, images or videos until you post a few times." I cannot even post a "Reply With Quote" option at this point.

I can't even post the revised formula as text at this point. Says the same thing.
