    Lightbulb Win Loss Formula in Excel

    For one Table tennis tournaments, we are following one excel. There are 5set game in One match.
    If anyone win 03 set, then he/she will win the match.

    Below picture is for better understanding. Currently I am using the formula. This formula seems to be very manual. I have to check all cells individually. Is there any way I can select the range and formula will automatically check the each set result?

    There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook. Screenshots are of little practical use as we cannot manipulate them.

    A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, worked examples where required, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

    Administrative Note:

    Is your forum profile showing the version of Excel that you need this to work for?

    Members will tailor the solutions they offer to the version of Office (Excel, NOT Windows) that you have. Please check that your forum profile is up-to-date in this respect. If you aren't sure, in Excel go to File | Account and report what it says below the MS logo at the top of that page. If your version is for Mac, please also state this.

    The three most recent versions of Excel are Excel 2019, Excel 2021 and MS365 - if you are using MS365, please give this name along with the release number in your profile (e.g. MS365 Version 2211). This is in the About Excel section further down the Account page.

    Thanks.

    imo, it might be easier if you can adjust your data into two rows.

    =IF(COUNTA(D3:H3)=COUNTA(D4:H4),IF(SUMPRODUCT(--(D3:H3>D4:H4))>=3,C3,IF(SUMPRODUCT(--(D4:H4>D3:H3))>=3,C4,"")),"")

    If winner last set = winner match, please try this formula:

    @Hans
    The last semicolon of your formula should be a comma I think?

    Oh my! Why I can't think like HansDouwe do. T_T

    =IF(AND(COUNT(F3:O3)>0,ISEVEN(COUNT(F3:O3))),IF(INDEX(F3:O3,1,COUNT(F3:O3)-1)>INDEX(F3:O3,1,COUNT(F3:O3)),C3,E3))

    Hahaha. I had played with this earlier this morning. It got a bit complicated, to say the least. It simply NEVER occurred to me that the winner would also (and by definition) be the winner of the last set.

    Or try this in P2:

    =IF(LOOKUP(100,G2:O2,G2:O2-F2:N2)>0,E2,C2)
