Question Cell to = Range within a table, depending on another Cell value

    Hi all

So I need to create something that is checking if Value D12 (Start time) is set into a range of value (See Screenshot).

    excel.png

From this Range of value, I want it to check the Maximum time, and display it in the cell I12

I have, really no Idea where to start to achieve that, I read a bunch of "Excel helps tips" but none seem to suit my specific need

    is it possible?

    thanks !

    I think you just need:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    In cell I12.

But if that does not work -- in particular I think the input of D12 might need to be rectified to handle as a date instead of as integers -- then I'd like to ask you post an example workbook to hone in on that.

Hello, thanks for the reply !

here's the "Blank" file, I only get an error when adding in your code and changing the values to the point to the table (it's on another sheet)

Yeah it's cuz of the time input. Try this:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

    that works ! thanks !!

    Edit : OOPS !

Well, it "Works" but always returns 13:00 which is wrong.. it should return the value according to the "start time", in the "Duty time max" if D12 = 4:33 it should return a "Max" value of 10:00

It does? That is the result I get when I put it in.

Can you post a spreadsheet showing the failure state?

And to be pedantic it seems that D12 does not contain the time "4:33" ; it would contain the integer 4 while E12 contains the integer 33, which then have to be assembled into the time 4:33, correct?
