Exclamation Compare two pair of cells: function usage

    Hello!

I'm looking for a way to do the following:

-Compare a pair of cells on sheet A to another pair of cells on sheet B.
-If the pairs match (only one match will be possible), return the value from the column on sheet B corresponding to that matched pair.

    Can somebody help me?

It is difficult to write the exact formula without the exact situation. Assuming that data in sheet B is also in column A:C

formula starting row 3 and copy down

    Formula: copy to clipboard

This is an array formula. I think your version of Excel will automatically treat it as an array formula. If not press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to enter it.

Rule 03: Cross-posting Without Telling Us

Your post does not comply with Rule 3 of our Forum RULES. Do not cross-post your question on multiple forums without telling us about your threads on other forums.

Post a link to any other forums where you have asked the same question.

Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. The last thing you want to do is waste people's time working on an issue you have already resolved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser) to the cross-post.

Read this to understand why we ask you to do this.

I have added the crosspost reference for you today. Please comply with this and all our rules in the future

However, if you continue to crosspost, you can expect to have your thread BLOCKED until you update it yourself.

Re: Compare two pair of cells: function usage

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately it didn't work.
    I uploaded the original file.
What I'm trying to do is:

-In sheet REDE COLETORA DE ESGOTO match the pair of cells on column B and C with the corresponding pair in sheet APOIO.
-In sheet REDE COLETORA DE ESGOTO column D return the value from sheet APOIO column D that corresponds to the matched pair.

Can anyone give it a go on the original spreadsheet?

You don't want those @ signs in there.

    Administrative Note:

    Welcome to the forum and_woox.

We would very much like to help you with your query, however it has been brought to our attention that the same query has been posted on one or more other forums and you have not told us about this. You are required to do so.

Please see Forum Rule #3 about cross-posting and adjust accordingly. Read this to understand why we (and other sites like us) consider this to be important: https://excelguru.ca/a-message-to-forum-cross-posters/

Thanks to Pepe Le Mokko for providing the links. Please take the time to review our rules before posting again. There aren't many, and they are all important.
