    Cone Are

    This may be more of a math question, but is there a way in excel to determine the are of a con with only knowing the degree and the base diameter? I am trying to make an excel program to determine weights of the body of the "Capture" attachments.

    This page shows the formulas for both volume and surface area of a right cone: https://www.ducksters.com/kidsmath/f..._of_a_cone.php Choose the formula appropriate for the quantity you want to calculate, and enter that formula into the spreadsheet.

    Please find attached excel file for the formula to find the area of a cone with only knowing the degree and the base diameter. Hope this helps.
