SUMIF/SUMIFS Date Comparison trouble

Hello,

In one of my spreadsheets, there is a large database with data organized by date. There are multiple rows of data per day. I am trying to create a condensed database that shows the totals for each day, and am attempting to use a SUMIF (and eventually SUMIFS) formula to sum the totals for each day, but can't see to get it to work. Please let me know what I can do, and thank you for the help in advance.



=SUMIF(Sheet1!$A$1:$A$100,"=B10",Sheet1!$F$1:$F$100)

=SUMIF(Date-Original-Database,Date-Cell-New-Database,Data-To-Be-Summed)
