hi all, im hoping someone can help me with a formula im working on for my spread sheet. long story short im trying to get healthy for the first time in my life, im almost a month into a complete lifestyle change and its going okay so far. ive created a small weight loss journal in excel to help keep me motivated. Ive been advised that a healthy amount of weight you can theoretically lose is 1% of your total body weight (assuming a strict diet and exercise routine).started off well with both, but the last two weeks ive been slacking on the exercise part.
Anyways my spreadsheet shows me what i am losing vs what i theoretically should have lost if i stuck to the diet, figured it would help keep me motivated. going well so far but i thought it would be useful to add a new formula to help give me an added kick in the pants to get off my bum and exercise. i want to figure out how many weeks behind or ahead of schedule i am. the "schedule" is how much i should be losing judging from my starting weight (112.7kg) assuming i lose 1% each week.
Currently im slightly ahead of schedule (about one week) however im attributing that to a short burst of rapid weight loss at the beginning, apparently thats normal when you begin losing weight and then it slows down (which it did). Anyways even though im ahead of schedule i have noticed now that i was missing my weight loss goals, so i have a feeling ill drop behind the "schedule" pretty soon.
Im not quite sure where to start, i know it would involve doing something to the difference between the scheduled weight and the actual weight, but not sure what exactly.
Can anyone help with this? sheet attached
