Pivot table calculated field formula assistance

    Hi,

I'm trying to calculate x based on a percentage decrease or increase.

Is there a way to account for either scenario in one formula?

My current formula works for increase % but not decrease (Spend Variance can be positive or negative percent)

    =Spend *(1+'Spend Variance')

    Much Appreciate any assistance.

    Thank you

    I don't understand why that doesn't work.
Perhaps if we could see a sample file it would help.
Information about attaching a workbook to your next text is given in the "HOW TO ATTACH YOUR SAMPLE WORKBOOK" banner at the top of the page.

Thanks the file is too large to upload - The formula will work if the spend variance % is a positive. If the spend variance is negative % the formula doesn't work.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook (yellow banner: HOW TO ATTACH YOUR SAMPLE WORKBOOK). Screenshots are of little practical use as we cannot manipulate them.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, worked examples where required, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.
