    SUMIFS to calculate costs which have a po number

    hi newbie here
    i want to add the column with cost, BUT the cost has to have a PO No
    so basically anything with a blank value in PO No column, the cost is not included in the cost total row
    i am using formula =SUMIFS(b3:b18,c3:c18,"no blanks"), but not sure where i'm going wrong.
    any assistance would be appreciated

    Maybe

    =SUMIFS(B2:B17,C2:C17,"<>")

    =SUMIF(C2:C17,"<>""",B2:B17)
    also seems to work.
