    COUNTIF Based on a Parameter

    Hi all,

I have a sheet where I have a list of prices and currencies (separate columns). I then have another sheet which lists a bunch of different currencies across the top and then a list of prices within each column below each currency. I want to put together a formula which checks if the prices on the first sheet are within the pricing lists for the respect currency from the second sheet. I think I can use Countif showing a true or false but where I am getting caught up is how I put the conditions into the formula with regards to the currency so it checks the price against the right column on the second sheet.

I've attached the sample file. As an example, what I want to do is put together a formula which says the price in cell B3 of the "PRICES" tab is 14.99 in USD (based on cell A3). I want to check that 14.99 against the USD column on the "MATRIX" tab (column B) to see if 14.99 shows up in the list of numbers available in that column. I'd obviously like the formula to be dynamic based on the currency and price on the PRICES tab so it checks against the correct column on the MATRIX tab.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if you have any questions

    Thank you in advance!
