How to return blank if no data when using COUNTA

Hi all,

I have a spreadsheet counting daily the number of orders and adding the units ordered. I also have another calculation to get the average orders placed weekly / monthly. When counting the daily orders, I use a simple counta formula but right now it returns a zero since there is nothing there to count. I have tried IFERROR and it doesn't work. How can I have it return blank if no data?
