Conditional Formatting Greater than 10% Above/Below daily average

I am trying to create conditional formatting to highlight values that are more than 10% greater/lower than the daily average. I've been trying formulas and Googling all afternoon, but can't figure it out.

Re: Conditional Formatting Greater than 10% Above/Below daily average

    try this...
CF >> new rule >> (for my version the next step is to select classic) >> use formula to determine which cells to format >> use these formulas for each...
=B2>AVERAGE($B$2:$B$15)*1.1 for greater than (add = if you want greater than AND equal to) select the color scheme you want
=B2<AVERAGE($B$2:$B$15)*0.9 for the less than (again add = if you want AND equal to) select colors you want
of course point it to the locations of your data AND you may have to go back in and remove " '" from each end as excel often puts them there and that will deactivate it.
hope that helps get you started.
