    Dividends Lockup Period

I'm having difficulty in calculating dividends after the lockup period is over.

    1. The Lockup Period is a variable in B2.
    2. While Outstanding Shares (Row 10 and Row 14) is a variable that can change in value AND the year it comes.

I need to calculate the dividends considering the lockup period (in B2) during which time no dividends are paid out.

Right now, I am not able to lock payment until lockup period is over except for when the outstanding shares is in Column B.

Thank you in advance for the help

    Re: Dividends Lockup Period

I'm not sure what you mean. I showed the expected results in Row 11. but that works only if the variable is in Column B. As soon as the variable is in any other column my formula doesn't work properly (as it can be seen in Row 15).

I need the values in Row 15 to start 4 years after the shares are given out (aka in column L in this example).

Hope this clarifies my issue. thanks

    Re: Dividends Lockup Period

This is brilliant. ...there's only one last issue. Since Lockup Period (B2) is a variable what happens when I change that variable? in your answer worksheet changing that variable doesn't affect the result.

But if the Lockup period (B2) changes to 3 or 5 - for example - then the formula should give zero for that many years.

    Re: Dividends Lockup Period

Lockup period is in A2 not in B2 in this file. I have changed the formula. Lockup period cell can be any cell. In formula the cell should be referred to that cell
In B11 copied to other cells.

    Re: Dividends Lockup Period

    Try in B11: =IF(COUNTA($B10:B10)>MATCH(1,1/$B10:$P10)+$B$2-1,SUM($B10:B10)*B$7*B$5,0)
copy across and also copy down to row 15.
