Lightbulb Finance Tracker Help + Suggestions To Track Welcomed

    Hi there,

I have created a finance tracker and am wanting to input some formulas to help track data.

I intend on creating a pivot table and have the data tracked and prvide myself analytics.

However, per entry, i wanted to calculate the weekly and ytd spending.

I have attached the spreadsheet with further details.

I also welcome any additional suggestions to maximise my tracking.

    Thank you in advance.

    Kind regards,
    MM

    Columns G and H are
Total Spend (YTD Activity) Total Spend (YTD)
    What is the difference?
To get YTD is straightforward, assuming the first entry is always the first transaction of the year as it is in your file. Put this in G2 and copy down:

You said you want to calculate weekly, but you already have column F for "past week" (which is really "past 7 days"). Do you want something different than that?

I decided to unzoom and discovered you have more explanation farther down the page. You had it zoomed in so big it was off the screen.

Here is the formula for YTD for category:

@6StringJazzer - That didnt work (as per attachment).

I believe it is more complex than that. For example I am wanting:
    - Column F to display total amount over the past 7 days (eaxch entry adding to the value, i.e. row 2 is $50 then row 3 is $100 and etc)
    - Column G to display YTD total per each activity (again accuring per entry)
    - Column H to display the total spend (each entry adding onto the previous one - this is an easy formula).

What do you mean "didn't work"? How is it different than what you need? See attachment using this formula, which exactly matches the picture you just showed of what you want.
